Added $XLP and $XHB as well.

$IAU and $TLT also picked up long today.  Seems like another hedging up into major OPEC event.

Long also $MUR and $PDS energy names. So definitely long energy but short oil.

Tech Trader just bought $XLU and $XLP, which sold off sharply post-election. First contrarian bets in a while.

$TASR already up 14% after only buying it yesterday. TT already up 2% with $SPY only up 0.5%.

Just added $TREE (lending tree) on week-out call buying:

Hilarious one of our top gains is short $KOF (Coke Mexico) despite $SPY up. Like Tech Trader knew Trump would win.

Ended up 3% w/ 150% long but only adding more: $AMP, $CELG, $CF, $GD, $NEE, $NUE, $TASR, $TEX, $TRQ. Again, more materials, utilities, finance, and healthcare - all the less frothy names.

Continuing to bottom pick ETFs with $EEM and $RSX. 5 ETFs now.

You are shorting USD and buying stocks that perform well in weak USD environment. Can you explain what strategy is shorting USD?

Today's price action ( Oil, Gold and EM are all strong despite USD move) probably means that market is expecting mean reversion in USD. I can see that USD breakout from this level can do real damage to risk but it seems market is fading derivatives of strong USD trade.

The individual stock trades are based on stock volume. The short $UUP is based on put buying in the options.  So in both stock and options market, Tech Trader is seeing large trades betting either against USD or for long the equity.  I think it's the latter; the stocks we are buying I think have a more idiosyncratic theme that will reveal themselves.

Also long financial names $AXP, $JPM, $PYPL. Seems like a lot of activity coming back in the markets.
