| What exactly is APE, and where can i get it? |

| APE- stands for Animal Projects Editor It allows you to make your own scenery, objects and animals for Zoo tycoon - Keep in mind you also need other tools such as graphic programs. There are plenty of tutorials to help you with this but a basic knowledge of using a graphics program is desirable. | yes. 2.5 is merely aa add-on that adds a few new options and objects. |

| Actually i don't think you need any previous version of APE to download APE 2.5. He just edited the file a little bit, it isn't super hard. |

2.5 doesnt come with the required .dll files.  |

| Downloading A.P.E 1.1 is the only way your going to get the two .Dll files that you DO need to run A.P.E 2.5. Chiefbutz, you probably have the program in a folder with the two .dll files but open it from a shortcut. Quivaz |

| Quivaz is right... let me give you an example of the basic answer... Ok so you have a ZT expansion pack but want to install it.. but of course you need the old one... the APE versions are a bit like that, i hope this will help you understan |

| Call me weird or strange but I finally opened APE and I get somehtings, but I want to make whole new animals, could anyone help me out here Please! Is Zoo Admin down? cause evrytime I click the link it says it couldn't reach the page.. Thanks again to all who might help me |

| I downloaded A.P.E. yesteday but i cant get it to work, i clicked "create new project" and then "new", when i tried double clicking "animals" nothing happened and it wouldnt let me click "create" is it something Im doing wrong? |

| you have to do it the other way around. - click create new project - click the animal folder on the left - click NEW you'll get a new window with another animal and objetcs folder - click the animals folder - select your animal of choice - click Create |

| You can download GDIPLUS.dll http://www.marksmecca.com/Utilities/gdiplus.zip This zip file contains GDIPLUS.dll, a resource file that APE requires. |

I've read this topic and I clicked on the download A.P.E which Aussie Koala gave at the beginning and it came up with another page which said "Page could not be found". Also a while ago I downloaded A.P.E and it was zippped and it wouldn't let me unzip it cos I do't have a programe callled Winzip. I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out here, cos I'm not very clever on the computer (All I can do is play ZT and go on the internet!!) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT??  |

the link on he first page is from the old ZA  I've updated it now. APE is available http://zoo.ogresnet.com/downloads/db/index.php?mod=347 Depending on your OS ( win 98/200/XP) you need or do not need winzip. To download winzip http://www.winzip.com |

If anyone reads this I've downloaded APE a couple of times and none of them seemed to work. It downloads fine, and I use stuff-it expander to unzip all the zt downloads I find. However when I click on the icon to run APE a message pops up saying that it can't run because the file Imm32.dll is missing. I did a search and found the file twice on my computer (once in the ZT folder itself). I copied it and put in the APE folder hoping it would work? It still says that the file is missing though? I'm confused and have almost no knowledge of computers. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that I have Windows 95 or not?  Can someone please give me some advice??I'm an artist and I think it would be so much fun to create animals for ZT etc.  |

| I know what you're talking about Anteater, and here's what you need to do. If you get APE from this site, it comes in a .zip file. You need to unzip the file and that file should appear. PM me if you have any further questions. |

| Hi when i use ape, i create great animals but it's all for nothing. My Zoo Tycoon just Freezes when i click on the animal information and i can't get the Keeper Recomondations. The animals look so weird!  |

| You can find a general guide to A.P.E and how to use all the features http://zoo.ogresnet.com/articles/index.php?lang=0&CODE=02&id=65. I left out the additional features that come with A.P.E 2.5 merely becuase not everyone chose to download that version. But everything in the previous versions are in this guide. And if you're interested there are several guides for beginners you can try, with more coming! Quivaz |

I think I'm ready to try using ape now. I don't know that much about, I've been reading the threads here. Does ape allow you to change the zoo maps, i.e. making new entrances, moving zoo walls and such or is that a different application ya'll are using? Thanks for the help.
